Lodge Signature 10-Inch Seasoned Cast-Iron Skillet with Stainless-Steel Primary and Assist Handles

Read this before you buy., (What's this?) I bought two of these and the only thing good about them is the handles. The inside is junk. they are not polished smooth like the other products. I called Lodge and ask them if they are suppose to be like that and I was told yes. I then ask them why are they not smooth inside like the others. I was told they did not have the machine to do that any more. But I could take a piece of sand paper and smooth it out. If you do not beleive this call 423-837-7181 and tell them you have one and ask about the inside. The main thing donot buy these you will be so sorry.
Disappointing, I have the 12 inch skillet also. The finish on the 10 inch is extremely rough and pitted. It does hold heat very evenly throughout but after multiple uses it is no closer to building up a smooth finish than when I first received it. As a result, everything sticks to this pan. I don't foresee this skillet ever getting to the finish it should have had even before it was released from the factory. This is very, very disappointing in a skillet of this price and alleged quality.

Lodge should be ashamed of releasing a skillet that has such a poor finish.
Beauty and a beast!, (What's this?) This is a beauty of a skillet you can proudly hang on the wall of any normal home and not just a log cabin. It is stunning to say the least. It looks much nicer than my Calphalon anodized cookwear and will likely remain so after years of use.

It is also a beast which means it retains heat when you hit it with food, just like any regular skillet (and unlike my aluminum Calphalon set).
Black magic with a gleam of silver......, (What's this?) I already reviewed the Lodge grill pan - and this pan gets the same 5 stars. So well made, beautifully balanced - and gorgeous to boot.

The Signature Line is truly a great line of cookware and well worth the money.
Absolutely Beautiful!, This is the most useful and stunningly beautiful skillet you can buy. It is the perfect weight and thickness, thus performs its cooking tasks flawlessly. The contrast of the darker rugged looking cast iron with the polished stainless handles is striking. WOW! This pan also looks good with my All Clad d5 cookware. This is literally the best cast iron skillet you can buy. The best thing about it, is that it is made in the USA by a family owned company who has long term american employees. So glad I found this pan.
Quality, (What's this?) This skillet was a long overdue purchase for me. I decided I no longer felt good about using my non stick pan. It works extremely well. I especially love the stainless steel handles which make it easy to pick up and move about. All items in it cook to perfection.
so so, I have to agree with the other 1 star review.Only thing good about it is the handle. And the looks.Compared to an older #9 Griswold that's bigger it weighs noticibly more.It is heavier than my 12" enameled Le creuset skillet and that's no light frying pan. It's like holding a sledge hammer.
There are those who say it's well balanced .That must be referring to using both handles. When using just the primary handle it's quite pan heavy.
But the most disappointing thing is the rough interior.I thought they might do more finish work on the signature series. Not. I should have paid attention to that 1 star review.I'd say don't waste your money on the signature series skillet but get the regular Lodge instead.Unless you just plan on hanging it for decoration. It does look good.
.
I bumped it up to 2 stars after spending some time trying to make the interior smooth with an obital sander. It's smoother now but has the appearance of a badly pitted old cast iron pan.If I got a grinder I could problely make better time and get those out. And spend some more time polishing but it's a lot smoother than it was. The rough inside might not matter after several years of buildup but being used to old cast iron that's smooth as glass after a quick seasoning it was a disappointment for me.
It is a heavy duty tank of a skillet so it does rate more than the 1 star I originally gave it.
A great addition to your kitchen, Very Induction cooktop friendly, (What's this?) We have switched from a gas cooktop to an induction cooktop. With the glass surface the pans need to be flat (so they won't wabble) and smooth to avoid scratches.
Perfect cast iron pan, (What's this?) The handles, the deep well shape, the clean up . . .

  • Winner of the 2008 Fifth Annual Housewares Design Award.Lodge Signature Series 10-by-2-1/4-inch pre-seasoned cast-iron skillet.Wash with stiff brush and hot water by hand; cast in the USA; lifetime warranty.Combines the beauty of stainless with the rugged durability of cast iron.Riveted, cool-touch stainless-steel primary handle and assist handle. The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Now Lodge has added a new component: stainless steel. Handsome and contemporary, the award-winning Signature Series gleams with marine grade 304 stainless-steel handles that are riveted to the cast-iron body for strength. Specially designed silicone gaskets around the rivets prevent water entrapment, so rust won't become an issue. Each Signature Series pan comes foundry seasoned and ready to use right out of the box. This handy 10-inch Signature Series skillet is the slightly smaller sibling of the 12-inch skillet that proudly won the 2008 Fifth Annual Housewares Design Award. The skillet's gleaming stainless-steel primary handle and loop-style assist handle add a real touch of class to the black cast iron. But it's not all about looks. The cast-iron pan heats thoroughly on the stovetop and features vertical 2-1/4-inch sides that keep in splatter and juices from frying sausages, blackening fish, and sautéing vegetables, in addition to cooking up everyday eggs, pancakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches. The pre-seasoned finish helps prevent food from sticking and rust from developing. To take care of the cast-iron finish, simply scrub the pan by hand after use with a stiff brush (never steel wool) under hot water, and dry immediately. If the handles discolor from oven-use or over-heating, they may be cleaned with stainless-steel cleaner. Cast in the USA, the skillet matches other pieces in the Signature Series and is covered with a lifetime warranty.

Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 5-Inch Wonder Skillet

Perfect!, (What's this?) I use this skillet for tamagoyaki, a japanese rolled omelet. You need a rectangular pan to make it but I could not find one without teflon on it, so I ordered this instead. It's perfect! No sticking, the roll looks nice, and it's the perfect size for a 1-person tamagoyaki.
Nice SpoonRest/Ash Tray, (What's this?) I ordered this to try it out for it's alternate uses. I decided to try it out and see how it would work as a spoon rest and to see how it would work as a cigar ashtray. For both applications it worked out pretty fine.

It's flat, and it's ends don't curve up and out too much so you have as close to a box shape as you can get. It has a significant weight to it for its size and it feels very sturdy. I would imagine it carries the same durability and quality as its larger counterparts.

I did try cooking a hot dog and a grilled cheese sandwich. It was definitely doable and more convenient than waiting for my larger skillets to heat up, but I doubt this is the preferred method I would use for those applications.
Egg Sandwich King, (What's this?) After I bought this, I thought it was honestly going to be too much trouble to make egg sandwiches.
Wrong - it is great. I throw in a few jalapeno and onion chunks first, and this makes one heck of an egg square for a tasty sandwich.
I use weird shaped wheat bread, so I don't finish toasting the sandwich off in this, but that's ok, as the square egg is what I am going for.

Afterward, quick clean up and it is ready for tomorrow morning.
Great Product, Bad Product Coating, (What's this?) The "seasoned" coating on this product is horrible. The factory coating must have wax or something and to rid the pan of it I followed the instructions to add additional seasoning to the pan. The result was a sticky mess. I decided to stick the pan in the oven using the cleaning cycle, a method I use to clean my commercial grade half sheet pans and it ridded the pan of the sticky problem.
Helpful multitasker, (What's this?) I've been using this tiny skillet for:

    - Rendering small amounts of salt pork or bacon.
    - Frying eggs.
    - Making square omelets (great for savory napoleons and sandwiches).
    - Melting butter.
    - Corn bread.
    - A variety of single serving meals.
    - Pounding meats (to make scallopini).
    - Dry roasting nuts and seeds.

Not at all indispensable yet quite useful little thing.
Lodge Logic Skillet, (What's this?) I need to find out if this product had any warranty against it being rusted after two uses.
I used this pan about two or three times and found out that it had gathered rust.
love it for allergy friendly foods, We are not only gluten free, but grain free. Yes, I said it. This little beauty is VERY USEFUL for us because we make special bread slices from a pancake batter. This makes a pancake that resembles a slice of bread that we can make all kinds of cool sliced sandwiches and cute lunches for our son.
Cooks great, but ..., (What's this?) I like the size and even-cooking of this pan, but ...

    - The pan's handle becomes dangerously hot when cooking.

    - The pan's body rusts very easily and can then leave stubborn rust stains on your counter top.

Some type of handle insulation would make this product much safer.
How can you not like a Lodge product?, (What's this?) I should have used a ruler to figure out how small this skillet is. It's tiny, and price wise a 10" round Lodge skillet is only a couple of dollars more.
Handy skillet, (What's this?) Day to day the wonder skillet makes a handy stove top spoon cradle. I use it often to fry two eggs which (assuming you keep it seasoned) slide right out. Nice for quick searing of a couple hot dogs or slice of ham, grilling a small sandwich, or reheating a small quantity of leftover sloppy joe filling, etc. Quick cleanup. I use this skillet on a gas range that has a small burner and it fits the flame perfectly - not sure if that would be true with a electric range.

All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan

Too big for my Induction Cooktop burners, I have one of those Kenmore Elite Induction Cook-tops which I just love. It only accepts magnetic pans so I use the entire All-Clad line.

I've often wished for a fry pan in a larger size than the standard 12" and was really excited to discover the 14" version.

My excitement turned into disappointment, however, when I tried to use the pan for the first time. It's larger than the burner and will not activate the stove-top because of that. My largest burners are 10" and the 12" pan works fine. But the 14" pan is simply too big.

So if you are using Induction Cooking, beware. Great company, great pans. But this one comes with constraints. I wish someone had warned me because I'd already thrown away the packaging before I made the discovery and these pans are not cheap.
Better than expected, I cooked hamburger first day I purchased all-clad fry pan and was surprized that fry pan can make so much different test. I like it very much but one problem this fry pan should sell with lid. Otherwise, is good to have it.
far too expensive for the quality, I must agree with the negative reviewers that this pan's nonstick coating began coming off almost immediately after I began using it. I'm not talking about scratches, which often are a result of using the wrong kind of implements for cooking and cleaning. My pan began pock all over, even up the sides where I rarely touch them. I hung on to this pan for 3 years, simply because I could not bear to part with it for the expense. But eventually I had to treat it like my other All-Clad pans (which I LOVE) and use full amounts of oil to cook. It was no longer worth using.

Although the reviewer who loves this pan was "certain" the rest of us who have not liked this pan were not caring for the pan properly, that "certainty" is based on nothing but speculation. I cared for my pan precisely according to the directions provided by All-Clad. Of course, I could have asked All-Clad to replace it early on, since it was clear the nonstick coating was coming off on its own accord. But that would not have changed the fact that the coating on my pan was coming off.
All-Clad non-stick is as good as it gets!!, I highly DISAGREE with the other reviews of All-Clad's non-stick coating. I have owned my All-Clad set for 6 years and the non-stick coating is still as good as new! You do have to take care of good pots and pans no matter what, so if you are expecting these pots and pans to be easier than "grocery store" pans... then save the money because there's no doubt you would ruin them. As far as the quality of the non-stick coating, I have found it much more durable than any other brand I have used including Calphalon. You CANNOT use forks, knives, steel wool, or stainless steel utensils in non-stick pans- no matter what brand... you MUST use non-stick friendly utensils (i.e. wood or plastic)- and I guarantee that the negative reviewers were not careful with their pans. All-Clad has a lifetime guarantee that they truly do stand behind. I had a random rivet problem with one pot and they replaced it without question. If you were careful with your pan and it scratched with appropriate care then All-Clad will replace it. I feel this makes the All-Clad decision a no-brainer and risk free including the non-stick pans.
Worked well for years., When I went to acquire a non-stick pan, I was dubious of all of them. Teflon is a great substance (thanks Du Pont!) but it scratches way too easy for anything in the kitchen. I had burned through several non-stick pans that were well cheapo no name pans.

I picked up quite a few All-Clads at once 6 or 7 years ago. It was time to trash all the hand-me-down pans from the parents and ex-roommates over the years.

I have no idea what this "professional-grade" bonded material is but it has been nothing but perfect for us as a family.
to be a fry pan in our house is a true test of any cookware., that said, the All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Nonstick Fry Pan has clearly failed. the non-stick surface began to deteriorate long before any other non-stick pan we've owned has in the past.

we received this pan as part of 10-peice set, and really, it's the only complaint we have about the set in general. the rest of the All-Clad pieces have performed beautifully and withstood all of the rigors of being cookware in a house with two accomplished and passionate chefs.
14-inch Fry Pan...Disappointing, I purchased the complete All-Clad set over 5 years ago and the 14-inch fry pan will need to be tossed. The teflon is fraying and coming off at the top of the pan, but not in the center. The smaller saute pan is fine as well as the other pieces, so I'm keeping those. I don't know if it's some sort of defect in the larger fry pan, but I'm disappointed. What would I do differently? Probably buy each All-Clad piece separately and get another larger fry pan from another brand.
Disappointing compared to other All Clad, Same problem - the surface has begun to deteriorate. We use this pan daily, always using appropriate implements and washing by hand, but still the non-stick surface has broken down. I am going to contact All Clad to see if they will stand by their product and replace...
Not a durable surface., I purchased this fry pan in June of this year - and it is almost to a state where it is ready to be thrown away as of December 1st. I would have expected the nonstick surface to be of superior quality and durability from All-Clad, but the sad truth is that I have had cheap grocery store pans that have maintained the coating far longer, and a small fraction of the cost. After just a few weeks the surface became scratched on this pan and the coating started to come off in the food - ick! I love the uncoated All-Clad, but I will be looking elsewhere for nonstick in the future.
You won't get it., I waited from April to July and they couldn't get it in stock.

  • Layer of scratch-resistant, professional-grade nonstick bonded to interior.Lifetime warranty against defects.Long, comfortable, stay-cool handle riveted for strength; also includes helper handle.Professional-size, 14-inch, slope-sided, 2-inch-deep frying pan.Two stainless-steel layers sandwich pure aluminum core for even heating. The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between layers of stainless steel is a thick core of pure aluminum that spreads heat evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The exterior is gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops, and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond. Certain pieces, like this one, have two interior layers, one of 18/10 stainless steel and the other of scratch-resistant, professional-grade nonstick coating bonded to the steel. This classic, slope-sided fry pan makes clear why All-Clad's Stainless nonstick line is so popular. It's an imposing 14 inches in diameter (and 2 inches deep), which is large enough for a professional kitchen but fully functional in a home kitchen, and the nonstick coating allows you to cook with little or no fat for healthful meals. Its polished 18/10 stainless-steel handle is riveted to the pan for strength, grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort, and holed in the end for hanging on a hook or peg. Like the pan's helper handle, it stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's heat. Although Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, nonstick pieces should be hand washed.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, Cobalt Blue

Le Creuset, (What's this?) Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, RedBeautiful skillet. Arrived right away. Allows you to cook with low heat while maintaining a high, even heat in the skillet.
Perfect size for a fry pan, (What's this?) This size is perfect for eggs, for steaks, for everything if it's just 2 of you. It cleans nicely looks great and was a really good price on Amazon.com. I will buy more pieces for my son when he needs them.
kitchen help, (What's this?) I really like Le Creuset products and I have many of them. This is my first fry pan and I was surprised(shouldn't have been) at how heavy it is. It's also an odd size so that none of the lids I have will fit. All in all, i'm not unhappy with it but would probably have preferred something else for a frying pan.
Functionally great, aesthetically not (any more), I thought Le Creuset was the best of the best, and beautiful too, so decided to invest. This skillet is really excellent as a skillet, so I should not complain, however the enamel on the outside scratches very easily and unfortunately mine is no longer very pretty. I have a saucepan with the same scratched exterior (we have a small kitchen and have to stack cookware). I don't handle cookware roughly, but I don't expect to have to treat it with kid gloves either.
Buyer's Remorse, (What's this?) I love the great heating properties of this and other newer LC skillets, but hate that the finish is definitely NOT non-stick. They'd be better off just using raw cast iron on the cooking surface--at least you could season it and eventually get a great non-stick surface. The current black "enameled" cast iron cooking surface is poor and there's apparently nothing that you can do about it (I've searched many website and blogs in search of a solution--and virtually everyone has the same frustration). I've gone back to my $40 set of two traditional cast iron skillets.
Can't complain but it seems odd....., I got one of these as a freebie some years ago when I bought a large dutch oven.

It became something that I used regularly for small omelets and generally cooking eggs. Worked well with modest amount of oil for 5+ years. Just recently even with a good preheat and significant amount of oil I can't cook eggs without making a hell of a mess due to sticking.
Once in a lifetime purchase, (What's this?) We own several La Creuset skillets, but this one is the perfect size. The others seem almost laughably large or small. Size is hard to tell online, but this is a nice medium sized skillet.

The only reason I don't give this product five stars is that people should be warned what they are getting. This product is very heavy and requires different cooking habits. Most notably, you never turn the burner above medium heat. High heat makes the food stick to the bottom requiring lots of scrubbing. The other trick to cooking with La Creuset is Bon Ami cleaner. It cleans these skillets with far less work and won't do damage to the enameled surface.

As an alternative to cheap skillets that have toxins built in, there is no substitute for the life-time warranty, and durability of Le Creuset. If you think of it as a once in a lifetime purchase it is actually quite a good deal.
Delighted, I have been using this pan for about a year. I have some sticking issues, but usually that's after I have been in a hurry to heat the pan. Gravy has been a bit of an issue. You just can't throw everything on high like you can with a non-stick skillet. This pan requires patience to get started, but the payoff is clean cooking without burning, perfectly seared meat and mushrooms that are sweated to perfection. You aren't losing flavor. It's worth it to me.
no no no get a traditional cast iron, I love my traditional cast iron skillet and got this for my husbands sake, since he had difficulty with the care of cast iron. I thought this would be the best of both world. Benefit of cast iron heating and the ability for my husband to wash it with soap and not be concerned with oxidation. However, this pan majorly sticks. Have tried using sprays and oils, but even still the pan sticks. I would definitely not recommend le creuset skillets. I would recommend a traditional cast iron skillet or if you really don't want to deal with the care of cast iron get one of the newer non-sticks that have apparently less toxic coatings than those of the past.
Stick Stick and more Stick, The coating that Le Creuset applies to all of their black surfaced enameled pans sticks to food as it cooks. I mean really bad sticking to the point that the product requires almost full time attention. You are much better off buying a standard cast iron pan and conditioning it with oil the old fashioned way then buying any of these products. You will also save about 85% on your purchase.

  • Hand washing recommended; safe to use at any oven temperature and under the broiler.Measures approximately 15-1/5 by 10-1/2 by 1-3/5 inches; limited lifetime warranty.9-inch enameled cast-iron skillet holds up to 1-3/8 quarts.Integral iron handle; easy-grip helper handle; dual pour spouts.Chip- and crack-resistant enamel won't react to foods. Made of heavy-duty cast iron, the cookware's exterior features a colorful, long-lasting enamel that resists chipping and cracking, while its interior provides a durable, black enamel finish (no seasoning required) to seal in juices for succulent, tender results. As cast iron is unexcelled for even heat distribution and superior heat retention, and enamel is impervious to acids and odors, the skillet cooks food uniformly and gently without hot spots and can be used for marinating, cooking on the stovetop, or finishing in the oven. The skillet also provides a sturdy, integrated iron handle with an opposite helper handle for secure transport, and it can be safely used at any oven temperature, under the broiler, and on any stovetop, including induction. Beautiful enough for the table yet durable enough to outlive its lifetime limited warranty, the skillet should be hand washed for best results. Whether frying eggs or baking individual tarts or apple crisp, the smaller capacity of this enameled cast-iron skillet makes it easy to prepare a variety of classic foods on the stovetop or in the oven. The compact unit measures 9 inches in diameter, holds up to 1-3/8 quarts, and comes with two nondrip spouts--one on each side to accommodate left- and right-handed pouring. Use the skillet for anything from searing and sauteing to tenderizing, frying, and deglazing--its shallow base and gently sloping sides create rapid evaporation and make it simple to flip food or slide it from the pan to a plate.

SCI Scandicrafts 7-Cup Aebeleskiver Pan, Cast Iron

We recreated our traditional recipes!, (What's this?) We use this to make our traditional Aebeleskivers (called Appo, Appam, Appe or Paniyaram in South India) Due to its weight I could not get this pan from India.
Great Gift!, (What's this?) I got this as a gift for one of my bosses - it was something he wanted anyway.
Cookin' it old school, (What's this?) I received this cast iron pan as an engagement gift from my aunt and uncle 26 years ago. Over the years my mom has tried several different pans made out of different materials, but she can never pull off the quality aebleskiver that I get using this old-fashioned work horse! My daughter wanted to make aebleskiver for friends at college, so I got her this pan because I knew it would work for her.

Yes, making aebleskiver is time-consumer, but oh-so-worth it! My 3rd generation (or maybe older!) recipe includes buttermilk and you whip the egg whites separately and fold them into the batter.

    Here are some tips:

*Never try to cut calories by using cooking spray - the aebleskiver will always stick. Put a little butter in each cup and turn pan to coat.
*I turn my aebleskiver with an ice pick that once belonged to my grandmother. She used it for aebleskiver, too! A metal skewer also works well.
Aebeleskiver, (What's this?) This pan works well. We've owned one of these for a few years now and use it occasionally. There is no ("non-stick" a.k.a. "poison") coating on the pan, we just use a little butter. The grand kids really like the aebelskivers; we put different types of fruit in them. Purchased a couple more of them for the daughers-in-law.
aebeleskiver pan, (What's this?) nice cast iron but much smaller than the one my gramma used- TOO little- go for the 9 in. 9 cup size.
Great Aebelskiver Pan!, You've got to be patient. You will not be an aebelskiver making pro in one or two episodes. It takes practice. I mean think about it, you've got the bottom of the skiver all golden brown to perfection, the middle filled with apples or apple sauce, and now you need to flip the golden side to the top and the raw side to the bottom.

What chutzpah to think you will do it perfectly right off. Relax, turn the heat down a bit if it's going too fast for you and using a knife and spoon, gently release the cooked bottom and flip it to the top.

It really helps to add about and 1/8 of a teaspoon of oil to each hole before adding the batter.
Too small, (What's this?) I ordered this instead of the one on Williams Sonoma because it looked similar but cost much less. I guess you really do get what you pay for. It is very small and it took a long time to make enough for 5 people.
AWFUL METAL TASTE-WOULDN'T GO AWAY, (What's this?)
Food stuck badly, (What's this?) Even after seasoning this pan per instructions twice, my recipe stuck in the pan and I threw the pan away. I don't have time for something like this. I will buy an aluminum non stick pan instead.
Very happy so far!, (What's this?) I am very happy with this pan. I have used it twice. I seasoned it as directed w/ some butter and I have had no trouble w/ sticking. I went with the cast iron pan because it was less expensive than other pans and I wouldn't have to worry about scratching the non-stick surface off. I use a chopstick to flip the pancakes and my family loves them. I have tried putting apple and banana in the middle and both are good. The price is so good I may just pick up a second one and get the cooking done twice as fast.

  • Cast Iron construction for even heat distribution.Stovetop or oven.Hand wash recommended. Professional chefs consider cast-iron pans to be precision cooking tools, as these dependable pans enable precise control of cooking temperatures. Their heat retention qualities allow for even cooking temperature without hot spots. Cast-iron pans can be used on top of the stove or to bake in the oven. The Aebleskiver Pan is designed for making the traditional Danish spherical pancakes. Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 12-Inch Omelette Pan

Excellent non-stick skillet, (What's this?) This pan is amazing. It passed our hash brown test. My other skillets, no matter how hard I tried and no matter what I did, they would ALWAYS stick. Even to my stainless steel skillets!!

Not with this wonderful skillet!! I sprayed some Extra Virgin Olive Oil with my Misto Oil Sprayer, that I also got from Amazon, and not ONE bit of the hash browns stuck to this skillet. They browned and came out amazing!! Then I made gooey, cheesy scrambled eggs!! Again, NO STICKING!! And clean up is a snap-wait until the pan cools and put in the sink with hot soapy water, very lightly wash, rinse, dry and your done!!

I love this Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick cookware!!!! I got all the matching pieces to the original 10pc set I got from Amazon and threw my other pans away!! I even went to the Calphalon site to order lids for the omlette pans-too bad they do not come with the set-I can always use the lids with the omlette pans. They do not make a lid for the stir fry pan though.
This is a very versatile pan., (What's this?) While the pan is of good quality, I found out too late that I overpaid quite a bit for it. I found it much cheaper on other sites. I will be more careful in the future.
Excellent, (What's this?) This nonstick frying pan is awesome. If you buy it, read the directions because there were things I didn't know about caring for this pan. Don't put it in the dishwasher. All you do is wash in with a soft sponge and rise and dry it. It is an excellent pan and I highly recommend it.
Omelette pot, (What's this?) My daughter in law loves her pot and she is happy with that material non stick she can stop using them. Good pot.
Recommend, This pan is well made and does what you would expect of a good non-stick pan. I love cooking with it and reccomend it to anyone in the market for a 12 inch fry pan. However, if you have never had a 12 inch pan look before buying. They are probably bigger than you think and takes up a considerable amont of room on the stove, in the sink, and the storage area. In exchange you get the benefit of a large heated surface for cooking which by the way is wonderful! IMO any inconvenience size creates is more than offset by the cooking benefits but if you have limited space it may not work for you.
Great Pan!, We've had this pan for 5 or 6 years now (have most of the set actually), and it's been great.
Calphalon Cookware, (What's this?) Calphalon is the BEST cookware bar none. I've spent several years increasing my set little by little. It's ALWAYS worth the wait and the expense. It will NOT fail you and the company has an excellent warrantee.
I love this pan, I love this pan. It is one of my favorite cookware pieces. Whenever I need a large pan, this is it. It's nice and heavy, heats quickly and cooks evenly. It don't have any problems with food sticking to it so cleanup is easy. The lid is made of glass, so I can see how my food is cooking and I can put the whole thing in the oven when I need to.

Large and durable, I've had this pan for years and cooking surface is still in great condition.

    Cirulon Infinite 11-Inch Open Skillet

This is a perfect size pan., (What's this?) I have been really enjoying cooking in this pan ever since I got it. To me it is a perfect size pan with perfect depth, that is to say it is not too shallow nor too deep. I cook all the time for my family of 4 with 2 little boys. You do not need much oil and cooking is so easy with this pan. Cleaning is super easy as well. I have found a glass cover from my previous pan (I have gone through quite a lot of pans in past years because of cooking all the time) which fits this new pan perfectly and with that I can almost cook everything now. So it might be a little bit problem for you since it does not come with a matching cover. Nevertheless all I can say is I love this pan.
skillet #2, (What's this?) After purchacing the 8" @ 10" skillets, my wife demanded that I buy the 12" pan from Circulon.
Not the best pan for me, (What's this?) I bought this pan because of all the excellent reviews, but I don't reach for it much. It's a nice pan, heavy, very non-stick, would be excellent for low fat diets/cooking. My guess is with the reviews of under 3 stars, they probably used oil or butter in it rendering it un-usable. The directions clearly state NOT to use butter or oil. That's where my biggest issue comes in as I eat low carb and can have butter and oil, but I can't if I use this pan and want to keep it nice. So, I've tried some eggs, they slide right out of the pan with no effort what so ever, but to me, without the added butter taste, they were kinda bland. Don't really have an interest in sauteeing veggies without butter or olive oil, so that's out. The pan's rather small, thought it would be larger, so can only cook small amounts in it. I've used it about 4 times, once it was too small so what I was cooking was going over the edge when I was gently stirring it, and once, out of 4 times, the handle got hot (wasn't over another lit burner or anything). The other 3 times the handle was fine. It really is a nice little pan if you are trying to remove some fat from your diet, it's just not for me.
Nothing sticks!, (What's this?) I prefer a stainless steel skillet but there are just some things that cook a lot better in a non-stick pan. This would be the pan I would choose for eggs. I use a little oil or butter otherwise food seems to come out to dry for my liking. I stay away from the sprays as Cirulon recommends and all is good, easy clean up too.
Worth every penny, (What's this?) These are fabulous! Really and truly dishwasher safe. I waited a month before reviewing since my last 'dishwasher safe' nonstick pans only made a dozen cycles through the dishwasher before flaking. These look good as new. I use at least one pan every day, and have never hand washed it. So nice to have a product do what it claims. I liked the 8" size so much I bought two more. I plan to slowly replace all my pans with these - that's how great they are.
awesome pan, (What's this?) This review is for the infinite, 8" skillet.

I swore off all non-stick pans ages ago after realizing I was eating eggs sprinkled with chemical teflon flakes. I finally broke down to get something non-stick and small after breaking the 100th fried egg in an all-clad 6" stainless steel skillet (which are top of the line pans).

Pan received, immediately washed with soap, water and then....the tests!

Test 1: Put pan on stove, gas, moderate heat, broke one egg in pan, no oil, no nothing, salt, pepper. Used a plastic spatula to flip and on purpose was not careful, either cracking the egg or flipping. Another minute on other side and simply "slid" the egg from the pan to plate. Surprise! Egg was perfect over easy, Not broken at all, not even a risk of breakage, evenly cooked, white done, yolk "yolky", exactly as you'd get from your favorite greasy spoon, but....without the grease. Wow.

Test 2: I pre-make frozen hamburger patties with 93% lean and pre-spiced. 93% lean is notorious to be dry but it can make a super tasy, juicy burger if cooked right. I used super high lean to avoid the fat of burgers.
Best skillet I've owned, (What's this?) These Circulon skillets cook beautifully and cleanup is very easy. I own cookware in Todd English's GreenPan line, and while those pans and stockpots are ok, the skillets are hopeless. Cheese and eggs always stuck, and even cooking meat was a pain when it came to cleanup. Cooking steaks in stainless steel was easier. Once I tried these Circulon skillets, I got rid of the GreenPans. Cheese and eggs slide right out. Cleanup is literally with a damp rag, though I usually wash them. Recommended.
Best 11" frying pan, (What's this?) I love this. Great nonstick. dish-washable, even heating, scratch resistant. My only complaint is the Circulon doesn't offer a cover and I had a heck of a time locating a good glass cover.
Won't Stick To Your Head, (What's this?) The Circulon stuff just gets better and better. I've had a couple of the cheaper Contempo model fry pans for the past year and they have been amazing. Never thought I could get great performance out of what seem like thin pans, but they cook even and the Circulon non-stick is incredible. An under-appreciated aspect of the Circulon is that these things are so damn easy to clean. I've had the Infinite pan for a day and already cooked two meals in it. The non-stick is on the outside of these as well, making them even easier to clean. The handle looks to be oven safe as well, with a nice brushed finish. But the bottom of this Infinite pan is special. The thick, heavy, and flat, polished stainless base makes this pan rock solid. It cooks more evenly, like a good ol' iron skillet, but it also takes a lot more flame on my glass top stove to get up to temp.
8" skillet, (What's this?) I wanted a skillet for eggs so they cook well and do not stick. This skillet is great! Heavy, yet easy to clean. I have a circulon pancake griddle, both are good products.

  • Uniquely dishwasher safe with a superior nonstick exterior for easy cleaning
  • With cast stainless steel handles and professional quality stainless steel lids on select items, Infinite Circulon looks as good on your table as it performs on the stove. Oven safe to 500°F
  • Circulon's TOTAL nonstick system outlasts all nonsticks - guaranteed! Raised circles take the abuse of utensils leaving the low lying areas untouched.
  • Hard-anodized aluminum for exceptional strength and cooking performance.
  • Patent pending stainless steel base is suitable for all stoves including induction and glass top. Stainless steel fully encapsulates an even heating aluminum core.

    Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned 9-Inch Skillet

Glad I bought it, This is a great skillet, especially for the price. It is not too heavy and it is a nice size for a single person or couple, but probably not ideal for a larger family. I seasoned the skillet a couple times myself with olive oil at 500 F for an hour and have had great performance so far. It is my first cast iron pan, so I did my research... DO NOT USE SOAP! Only hot water and maybe salt if you need an abrasive. After using it, I think everyone should have a good old handy cast iron skillet in their kitchen.
Perfect size for cornbread, (What's this?) I looked everywhere for this size cast iron pan for making cornbread. This is perfect! This pan will last me for the rest of my life and hopefully my kids will realize how great a seasoned cast iron pan is when they inherit it.
Even better than I expected, (What's this?) This pan has been a joy to use and is in daily use since it arrived. I was cautious at first, but food really did not stick to the pre-seasoned finish. My first try was breakfast sausage which developed a delicious crisp crust that I'd forgotten meats could have. About my fourth use I fried an egg which slipped right out of the pan when it was done.
Small and rough, (What's this?) Try to find specific measurements on this listing and you'll be disappointed. The 9 inch description on this skillet refers to the top edge, not the base of the skillet.

I was disappointed in the surface of this pan. It is very rough. I'm looking for a cast iron skillet like my grandma's, which is smooth on the inside and most of the outside too, making it easy to clean.

I don't know how this rough pan cooks and cleans up, though. I sent mine back after I received it.
Love my new skillet, (What's this?) I wanted a skillet size to fit in between the 2 I already have. This one is perfect. I love it.
Perfectly Nonstick!, (What's this?) After receiving the skillet and wanting to re-enforce the pre-seasoning, I seasoned it again myself 3 times with canola oil in a 475 degree oven for 50 minutes each session. After that, I used my skillet for 2 weeks straight to cook steak and fatty fish fillets (I even pan fried some chicken once). I think I cooked with it a total of 10 times.

Today, curious about exactly how nonstick this skillet has become, I tested it by frying an egg. I used 1/4 teaspoon of oil to grease the pan first, then dropped the egg in. To my delight, I was able to flip and lift the egg clean from the cooking surface. There was zero sticking.

Emboldened by this success, I decided to put the skillet through the ultimate sticking test: making fried rice. Due to the high starch content of rice, fried rice loves to stick and burn onto any and all cooking surface that lets it. I was ecstatic to discover that my skillet even lets me fry rice with zero sticking (using 1/2 teaspoon of oil). The only cleanup I did was to wipe it with a paper towel. That was it. And I've only been using it for 2 weeks!

This skillet is a freaking miracle. So long, nonstick! See you never.
We use it every day!, (What's this?) I love this skillet, it is the perfect size. I make grilled cheese, quesadillas, and eggs all of the time. I apply a tiny amount of oil before putting the food in the pan.
Not big enough, The reason this item was deleted was due to the size. Nine inches is just not big enough. I would like at least ten inches, possibly larger.
Too rough to cook in, I bought this pan a couple of years ago to fill the gap between my 6 inch and 10 inch skillets. I was disappointed in it from the beginning as the cooking surface was so rough that everything stuck to it. In order to prevent sticking I had to use enough oil to essentially deep-fry foods whereas with my well-seasoned 10 inch skillet I can cook using about half a teaspoon of oil. I read, and was told, that the surface would wmooth out and "break in" after using it for a while. HAH! After a year of nearly daily use, the surface was just as rough and "sticky" as ever. I contacted Lodge about this and was told they NO LONGER grind their cast iron ware, which means they used to but stopped. To me, this is just cheapness and penny-pinching on their part since they ALREADY had the equipment on hand and just decided to stop using it to save a few cents. I finally went out and bought a sanding disc for my power drill and ground the metal closer to flat and it works fine now--and it seasoned beautifully. As far as the Lodge brand goes, sadly, there is nothing to compete with it as we have all heard the horror stories about Chinese cast iron cracking and even exploding during use. I just wish Lodge still had some customer integrity and made a skillet you didn't have to modify in order to use easily.

For those of you who want/need to smooth out your pans, it's not hard, just a pain in the posterior. If you have a power drill, buy an 80 grit, or even 60 grit flexible sanding disc at any hardware store. You MUST wear eye protection and a dust mask, and you should work outside since the process is messy. Wear old clothes!! I also recommend ear plugs because this could take a while. Get your drill running and, using moderate pressure, begin sanding down the roughness. You only neeed to do the inside (cooking) portion of the pan as the roughness won't affect heat transfer. Sand the pan as smooth as possible, wash thoroughly and season as normal for cast iron. You'll notice a huge difference immediately.
Perfect for cornbread, (What's this?) Fills in a size blank in my cast iron skillet collection. Pass on to daughters eventually.

Anolon Nouvelle Copper Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Skillet

Favorite Skillet, This is my all-time favorite skillet. I have had the skillet for a bit over a year now. I cook nearly every day, and this is the skillet I reach for most often. It cooks very evenly, without noticeable hot spots. I like to cook using fairly high heat, and I have not found this to be a porblem. Cleanup is wonderful too, as it does not have the usual protruding rivets on the inside. I have not tried using metal utensils with this skillet -- I love it so much I would not want to take a chance on damaging it! i just inspected it under strong lighting, and did find tiny scratches on the cooking surface (hadn't noticed them before), but they are not deep, don't go through to the metal. I will probably purchase more pieces from this line.
Real great pan, (What's this?) I do alot of cooking and have tried a half dozen pans. This one is one of the best so far. It heats evenly and cleans very easily.
Great Pan, (What's this?) I LOVE this pan. I have an Anolon set and wanted a bigger skillet. The Nouvelle Copper is an upgrade to me not solely because of the bottom material but also because the handle is attached without rivets, so the inside is smooth for cleanup. No cleaning around protruding rivets!

    Really great pan.
Induction problem..., Nice pans but the bottoms tend to want to delaminate when used on induction stove... Avoid overheating these at all costs..
Very nice pan, (What's this?) This is flat bottomed, and works very well with our glass topped electric stove. I can't comment on durability, because I haven't had it very long. This is very well built, has a great non stick coating, strong handles that stay cool, and cooks very evenly on my electric stove. The paperwork (or box, don't recall) say it's okay to use metal utensils with it.

I also have the 8 and 10 inch skillets, they all cook great. I wanted lids for the pans, and found that the glass lids from the Anolon "Advanced" cookware line fit very well, and look great. But as far as I can see, you can only buy a 10-12 inch set. Not individually, and not for the 8 inch.

  • Patented induction-suitable double full cap base
  • Hard anodized construction
  • Stainless steel handles and flush rivets
  • Professional Nonstick Interior

12" COMMERCIAL ALUMINUM NON-STICK FRY FRYING PAN - NSF

Birthday Present, (What's this?) Pan came on time and was wrapped well and very protected. It was as indicated on the web site and I did not have any surprises.

I feel the seller was upfront and honest and completely lived up to his delivery promises.

Ecolution Artistry Eco-Friendly 11 Inch Fry Pan

better than Cuisinart Greenware, (What's this?) I have used this a few times a week for several months, and the non-stick surface is performing well. The large size is great for a full meal quantity.

The nonstick surface of the somewhat more expensive Cuisinart Greenware did not perform as well as the Ecolution Artistry.

I am giving it only 4 stars because the environmental attributes of the product are not very impressive. Hydrolon appears to be a patented acrylic material that is made from non-renewable fossil fuels.
excellent pans, I'm about to purchase my third one of these pans (of different sizes). They're sturdy and light-weight. They heat food well with a minimum of cooking oil, and the non-stick finish also cleans easily. I'm giving it 4 stars because I notice that we have "dinged" the finish on the two that we already own, but they are still giving good service, and I have no reason to think that they will fail to satisfy us any time soon.
Well Constructed Fry Pan, (What's this?) This Ecolution Artistry Eco-Friendly 9.5 inch fry pan has performed well. Even heating, easy clean-up and a perfect size for three scambled extra large eggs. The shipper was not kind though and the pan was slightly bent upon arrival.

  • Hydrolon water based nonstick - PFOA Free
  • Printed on 70% recycled materials
  • Pure aluminum with grooved rings on the bottom of the pan insures consistent heating
  • Our soft silicone handle is easy to grip and stays cool

    Lodge Guitar Mini Skillet, Black

misleading and underwhelming, (What's this?) It is not a skillet. It is a miniature skillet. It is so small it belongs in a kid's dollhouse kitchen. This is beyond disappointing. Not worth the money.
Guitar Skillet---a generous term, (What's this?) This was a disappointment, to say the very least. I saw it, read the description, and was intrigued. Amazon told me that a guitar shaped spatula was often purchased with the skillet, so I bought them as a gift for my dad. Little to my dismay, the pan isn't even large enough for an omelet. I will not be buying anything from this seller again.
Very cute but is NOT a skillet - is is a spoon rest...almost!, (What's this?) The description of this product is misleading...it is NOT a skillet but instead, might be useful as a spoon rest...assuming your are not using a very large cooking spoon. It's small...very small. It would make a cute wall decoration but forget using it as a skillet of any type. Frankly, given the size, it's not even that appropriate as a spoon rest since the shape omits use of larger spoons due to the upper curvature. Cute idea...if it were MUCH MUCH larger. Don't be mislead by the description. I've contacted Amazon Customer Service to see if it can be updated as this makes a fairly expensive and somewhat inadequate spoon rest and a completely dismal "skillet".
a mistake!, (What's this?) The very good thing was, when I returned it, the refund was immediate. Even before I shipped it back. It is NOT a skillet for real use. Can't cook it it. Wow, I was disappointed. My son's a guitarist, and loves to cook, so I bought it. We were excited waiting for it. First our mouths dropped, then we got a good laugh before returning it.

    All-Clad Stainless 14-Inch Fry Pan

Great pan, but not for everyone., I got this pan a month ago, mainly to round out my collection (wow, it looks great hanging on my rack!) To be honest, I was a bit worried about how much use I'd actually get out of it.How wrong I was! It's absolutely spectacular for recipies that require large amounts of sauted vegatables. I love being able to saute several large onions, peppers, etc. at the same time.Where it really shines is searing meat in prepartion for roasting. I love to roast, particularly pork and lamb. Only a pan like this lets you sear an entire pork tenderloin without any acrobatics. It's definitely not for everyone, but I really enjoy using it.
Great pan!, (What's this?) Yes, it's a REALLY big pan! A perfect cookware addition for the serious cook. Surprisingly, the pan isn't as heavy as I expected and is a manageable size. It will easily saute 6 to 8 chicken breasts at once without crowding and is perfect for large batches. It heats evenly and lives up to the All-Clad quality I expected. Easy cleanup, too! Highly recommended.
Decent pan but expensive and no lid available, This is a very well made pan and it cooks really well. I was really disappointed that it did not come with a lid and in fact the manufacturer does not even make one. There are several dishes that I specifically bought this for, but they require a lid to be cooked properly. I corresponded with Amazon but they did not help me find a lid that could be used, so I am on my own. May be difficult to find one that will fit right. For the price, I would have to say I'm disappointed.
For a lifetime, (What's this?) All Clad is the best! Bought this as a wedding gift because I already got one. Perfect size for sauteing or frying for 2+ without crowding.
It's BIG, (What's this?) Yep, this is a big pan. But when you need something this big, nothing is better that we've tried.
Great, the second time around..., I was very hesitant to spend close to $160 on a single fry pan, but I had heard so many good things about All-Clad and thought it would be a wise investment. For the first 6 months, the pan was great. I loved the large size and used it often. I was just about ready to invest in an entire set of All-Clad cookware when my pan warped. I was using it on an electric stove as usual, and the pan just simply warped. I was thoroughly disappointed that a $160 pan would warp during normal use. I won't be spending this kind of money again.

****Follow-up. I contacted All-Clad regarding the warped pan-they had me send it in for evaluation, and yesterday a brand new one showed up at my door. I'm impressed at their customer service and the fact that they stand behind their product.
Up to its usual excellence., Superior feel. Cooking results were as advertised. I am very satisfied and will continue to seek out all-clad products.
    Kazzy,
I just love this pan. I use this pan almost every night. It cleans up beautiful. I just purchased this for my son and his wife and they love it also.

Warranty From date of purchase, All-Clad guarantees to repair or replace any item found defective in material, construction or workmanship under normal use and following care instructions. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse. Minor imperfections and slight color variations are normal. The interior is highly polished 18/10 stainless steel, so it's stick-resistant as well as stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is made of gleaming, magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as conventional stovetops, and, with care, remains beautiful during this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and beyond. This classic, slope-sided fry pan makes clear why All-Clad's Stainless line is so popular. It's an imposing 14 inches in diameter (and 2 inches deep), large enough for a professional kitchen but fully functional in a home where big meals are prepared. Its long, polished 18/10 stainless-steel handle is riveted to the pan for strength, grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort, and holed on the end for hanging on a hook or peg. Like the pan's helper handle, it stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. Although Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack Cleaning Instructions For daily cleaning, warm soapy water is sufficient. Clean your All-Clad thoroughly after each use.

Nordic Ware Divided Skillet Omelet Pan & Poacher

Bad even for a cheap omelette pan, (What's this?) I bought the omelette pan knowing was a cheap one, even considering that, this pan is not worth to buy. Cheap manufacturing (almost falls apart during first use), bad materials (sharp thin metal), I use with medium low heat and the plastic pieces start to melt. The lid handle is a poorly designed. I recommend not to buy this product.
Inferior product -- don't buy, (What's this?) This omelet pan is made of very thin metal and is larger than the heating element on our ceramic stovetop, so it heats unevenly. Eggs stick to the surface. We tried it once and put it back in the box to return to Amazon. So far, the return process works very well. Too bad the pan didn't.

Additional information posted one week after the initial post:
Yesterday we received a full refund, including the initial shipping charge. The return shipping was prepaid by Amazon.
Disappointed in Pan, (What's this?) I was disappointed with this purchase. It wasn't the quality of the pan. It was the actual cooking of the omelets. The inside of the omelet stayed runny after it was taken up.
great item, (What's this?) I highly recommend this combination poacher/omelet pan. It's easy to use, cleans up nicely and makes perfectly done poached eggs and omelets, not at the same time of course.
    A Little Disappointed, (What's this?)
Flaky pan, literally, This is a terrible purchase. My husband and I purchased this pan one week ago; we are so disappointed. After only one week of use, the pan is already falling apart. The non-stick coating is peeling off, and the pan can no longer be used. To its credit the pan did poach the eggs well, but it was clearly not designed for everyday use on a gas range. I would suggest to anyone thinking of purchasing this pan for regular use to look elsewhere and spend the money on a higher quality pan. It can't take the heat and will flake on you, literally.
Yummy, (What's this?) Bought this for my father as a christmas gift, to replace is well used omelet pan.
Nordic Ware Divided Skillet Omelet Pan & Poacher, (What's this?) I really like this item. I had been trying to make an omelet, first in my electric frying pan and then in a 8" skillet on the stove top, and I was having absolutely no luck flipping half of the egg over the ingredients and the other half. This pan resolves that problem completely. The eggs cook evenly and you can cook them until they just start to brown. The only caveat I have is don't assume you have to flip the two sides of the pan together fast (you'll just end up throwing the top half past the bottom half), all that is needed is a smooth motion and the halves will center up right over each other (if you do miss slightly you can maneuver the top around slightly as long as you don't wait to long).
non-stick?, (What's this?) I've tried spraying the cups when they are room temp and when they are heated; never are they non-stick and always they require scrubbing.
Nordic Ware OmeletPan/Poacher, (What's this?) Gave this as a gift, so not sure of its usability. However, when I received the product, it did appear to be awfully light weight. Unsure if it would withstand continued or daily use. I was concerned if it would warp with a lot of use. I have not heard from the receipient of the pan, so hoping it has withstood with use.

  • Unique divided construction allows omelets and poached eggs to be cooked in one pan.Made in America.Hand washing recommended.9-1/2-inch divided skillet with nonstick interior.Stay-cool phenolic handle and helper handle. This clever pan from NordicWare allows the cook to prepare omelets and poached eggs in the same pan. The pan's construction allows it to heat evenly for gentle cooking or rapid sautéing, and the durable nonstick coating helps delicate omelets release without sticking. A three-egg poacher insert fits into one side of the divided pan, and the other half can be folded over to form a lid for poaching. A large, easy-to-grip handle is designed to stay cool on the stovetop, and a helper handle provides an even more secure grip. This pan should be washed by hand, but the nonstick coating makes cleanup quick and easy.

All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 10-Inch Fry Pan

All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 10-Inch Fry Pan
the cook, (What's this?) I investigated all available brands of this type/size pan, regardless of price. The All Clad I selected has met all requirements beautifully.
Excellent Pan. Satisfied With All Clad's Warranty, I bought this pan about a year ago and after 9 months of daily use the Teflon coating started to flake slightly. The pan was still very much non-stick, but I feared consuming even small quantities of Teflon, so I sent the pan (at my own expense) to All Clad's warranty department for inspection. It took a very long time for All Clad to send me a replacement pan (about 12 weeks), but I was very happy that they did in fact honor their warranty. I would be happier if the original pan was not defective, if I receive the replacement pan in a more timely fashion, and if I was reimbursed for shipping charges, but overall I am quite satisfied.

The pan cooks unbelievably well. It distributes heat evenly, has a superb non-stick quality, browns foods well, allows great flavors to develop, and cleans easily by hand.

This pan is Made in America of high quality materials and is backed by a great warranty - all of which are very important to me. I highly recommend this pan and as a result of my experience I will be purchasing more All Clad products in the very near future.
Poor warranty, I have had several non stick all clad pans. Over the years, I have returned them under warranty. It takes them 6-8 weeks to evaluate your pan for any returns. The most recent pan I returned as it was sticking terribly was in November. Four months later, I still do not have a replacement, and am getting no where with customer service. Be sure you get a confirmed delivery as well, they said they did not receive my pan at all until I provided the USPS delivery confirmation that I paid for in addition to sending the pan back. They agree the pan should be replaced under warranty. But four months later, still no pan. Do yourself a favor, save your money and get something else in the non stick pan class. The warranty is almost useless at this point, and after a few years, even with no dishwasher, wooden utensils and care, they will stick.
The "Gold Standard " pan, (What's this?)

I bought this particular frying pan as a birthday present. America's Test Kitchen called it the Gold Standard in this category and I wanted an exceptional quality pan--we won't know how it lives up to its rating for a year or so, but I have high hopes.
Everything I expected, (What's this?) Nice weight, great non-stick pan. Now my favorite in our collection of All-Clad. Suggest getting the 12" lid to make it even more useful.
All-Clad Quality - Non-Stick Convience, (What's this?) This is a great little fry pan. As an owner of All-Clad Copper Core cookware, I was anxious to use this non-stick pan. It has the heft and quality you'd expect from All-Clad (it feels heavy and strong in your hand), and cleans up easily. Which is what drove my purchase. For some reason, the All-Clad Copper Core cookware cleans up great with soap, water, and a scratchy pad for almost any food EXCEPT scrambled eggs.
Check the details!, (What's this?) I ordered this pan for my induction cooktop, from the description that it has a "stainless interior". Turns out, MC2 is NOT induction compatible. So back this goes... Don't make the same mistake that I did. I can't give the pan a bad rating; I'm sure it works fine for its intended use...
DO NOT BUY ALLCLAD NONSTICK PRODUCTS!, (What's this?) The All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 8-Inch Fry Pan is expensive. Therefore, expectations are that it would last longer than other, inexpensive Nonstick products.
For us it lasted 6 months. It performed well while it lasted, before the nonstick surface started to peel off.
We sent the pan to All-Clad for a replacement, along with proof of purchase.
The response was quite funny: We cannot replace this 8-Inch Fry Pan because you applied too much heat to the pan!
We always thought that applying heat to a pan is the essence of frying eggs etc.
Apparently, All-Clad nonstick pans are not designed to be used on a stove.
BTW - our stove is an electric one, therefore supposed to be softer on frying pans.
Bottom line: Do not buy All-Clad nonstick products - they are peeling if used for frying!
Above all, do not expect All-Clad nonstick products to last longer than a few months.
Returning pan, (What's this?) Purchase one of the 10" fry pans April 1, 2010. Non-stick coating is peeling up off the edge of the pan. I am returning the pan to All Clad.

Pretty disappointing as I have owned a LOT of cheaper brands and never had the non-stick coat simply peel off the pan in a sheet like this.
Great Pan, (What's this?) I love the looks on this professional outside looks of this pan but yet it's non-stick on the inside. The pan was expensive, but so far I really like it. It cooks food evenly and it's easy to wash.
